This Privacy Policy explains how maint.io ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, dashboard, API, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, company name, and password (stored hashed).
- Service data: the assets, tags, and maintenance records you create through the Service.
- Usage data: API request counts, timestamps, endpoints accessed, and IP addresses, used for rate limiting, billing, and security.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and secure your account and data.
- To enforce plan limits and process billing.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service (e.g. hosting, payment processing, transactional email), and where required by law.
Data isolation & security
Each customer's data is isolated at the database layer (per-account scoping). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and follow reasonable industry practices to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Data retention & deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these, contact support@maint.io.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to the dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. Terms of Service
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to store unlawful content.
- Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls.
- Do not resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
Plans, billing & refunds
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; changes take effect per the billing cycle.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise.
- We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service unless covered by a separate written agreement (e.g. an Enterprise SLA). We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Your data & ownership
You retain ownership of the data you submit to the Service. You grant us the limited rights necessary to operate the Service on your behalf.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.
Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
